I have a thing for scandinavian interiors. I love the cleanness of it. I love to browse through these ‘cold’ warm homes in search of some new inspiration. I love to use the scandinavian inspiration in my Dutch home.
1. My favorite magazines, I love (like every other girl) reading magazines, when I’m not online. I only wish I had more time to do so.
2. My absolute favorite place, the couch! Again with a H&M pillow and a H&M scarf I use as a trow. Love the colors of it and it is not as heavy as a real blanket. Love to get up early in the morning, cuddle up with it, sipping some homemade cappuccino, reading the latest news while the whole world (or just my side of the world ;) is still asleep or trying to wake up.
3. I was searching for the perfect coffee table for a while. Those who know my Instagram account maybe have seen my ‘cat-scratched’, coffee stained, tattered old table, haha! I’ve seen everybody falling for the Hay coffee tables and I love them too but I wanted something with a bit more ‘weight’. I found this marble tabe on the Dutch marketplace and was instantly in love with it. Love the colors of it because it is not too grey (’cause my whole house is getting a bit too grey,
never thought I would be saying that but it is). It connects all the colors in my home with his stainless steel frame and its beige/grey/black top. Found the knitted puff yesterday (ON SALE!!!) at my local D.I.Y store (Karwei for the Dutchies) from Woood (couch is also from Woood).
4 & 5. Dried flowers always are my favorite to decorate with. Because they got almost colorless its a perfect way (for me) to just place them everywhere I feel the need for a bit color, but not to much. Love the organic shape of it. Combined with,
yet again, H&M candles. I bet you recognize the left one, but my personal favorite is the right one. Whenever I light it I tell myself too CALM DOWN! and it actually helps a bit :) The platter is also from H&M (omg…I need a new home accessory supplier) with some small stones and a candle.
6. The LOVE of my home; my Marcel Breuer Wassily chair!
It is actually my stepdad’s but whatever ;) I was always eying on it and my mom never was a big fan of it so when the two of them moved in together this guy (I like to think it’s a boy and I actually call it Marcel, haha) moved to the attic collecting dust. Such a waste! So when I moved in to my new home I finally had the room for it!
